Cedar Park sits northwest of Austin and has become one of the most popular suburbs in the metro. The city offers a strong mix of new construction neighborhoods, established communities, and commercial growth. Leander ISD serves much of the area and is well-regarded. Cedar Park is also home to the H-E-B Center, a major entertainment and sports venue, and a growing corridor of restaurants and retail along US-183.
Originally a small railroad stop, Cedar Park began its modern growth in the 1980s and 1990s as Austin's expansion pushed northwest. The city incorporated in 1973 and has grown from a few thousand residents to over 80,000 today.
